Virtuosi Racing can announce that the team will be entering the FIA British Formula 4 Championship for the 2022 campaign.
It was revealed in August that British motorsport governing body Motorsport UK would take over the organisation of British F4 from 2022 and Norfolk-based outfit Virtuosi Racing are pleased to confirm that it will be part of the series’ exciting new era.
The team’s decision to expand into another Championship is years in the making, with British F4 pinpointed as the ideal starting point for us to take on and develop the best young drivers around, by bringing them into the Virtuosi family and helping them to climb the FIA motorsport ladder.
British F4’s upcoming overhaul provides the ideal time to join, with a number of key changes set to level the playing field, alongside a fleet of high-calibre teams joining that we believe will make it the premier championship of its level in Europe.
Powered by an Abarth engine, Virtuosi will run two of the new second-generation Tatuus F4 T-421 cars, which are brand-new for 2022 and feature a halo.
Whilst the 2022 calendar is yet to be announced, it has been confirmed that British F4 will continue to support the British Touring Car Championship on the TOCA bill, hitting the United Kingdom’s most famous and iconic circuits and broadcast live on free-to-air terrestrial TV for great exposure.
